Samantha Soria is a freelance writer based in South Florida. 

 

In 2021, she graduated from Florida International University with a BA in English. There, she wrote for the student media organization PantherNOW. In 2022, she received her MA in Journalism from New York University. While there, she wrote for the graduate media publication The Click.

 

When she’s not online fangirling over her favorite shows and movies, she’s reading romance novels and adding more songs to her favorite curated 80s playlist. She specializes in writing about entertainment, identity, and pop culture. She has contributed essays for Sunstroke Magazine and has written for other publications such as The Luna Collective and LatinaMedia.Co. Since May 2024, she has co-created and hosted a book club blog and podcast called Fictionally in Love. She also runs a music newsletter on Substack called This Must Be the Place.
